Mini Beasts

As we returned to school we kicked away a new topic. This half term we will be looking at mini beasts concentrating on food chains, habitats and much more. On Monday we gathered up the clipboards and broke up into small groups to investigate any mini beasts that may live at our school. The children were excellent as they worked together and ensured they didn't disturb an creatures they came across.

We discovered a range of mini beasts including spiders, worms, woodlouse and slugs. The children ticked off on their checklist any creatures they found and we fed back to the other groups when we got back into the classroom.

To coincide with our Topic we will also be visiting Hamsterly Forest on Thursday 3rd May, if you haven't received a letter or would like some further details please do not hesitate to contact the EYFS team.
