This week we have been learning all about winter. We were so lucky to experience our first snowy day of the year and the children had lots of fun playing with the snow and ice in the nursery garden.

We have also been putting our number knowledge to the test this week and have played some very fun number games. We passed the snowman around a circle and took it in turns to pull out a number. The children were so good at recognising numbers 1-5. We have also been doing some brilliant counting and throwing the snowball at the corresponding number.

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Archie Spencer as he always tries his very best at everything he does. I was so proud of him when he wrote his name in the snowman, your writing is improving week by week. Keep practising Archie, well done! Neve Dunn for settling so well and joining in at group time. She did an amazing job at counting the snowballs. Well done Neve! Amelia Westwood as she now comes to nursery with no tears and has settled so well into her new nursery.
