A visit to Mdawi Primary School

After two long years Mrs Lupton was able to visit our friends at Mdawi Primary . It was good to hear that many of the community were vaccinated and that the children in school also are beginning to be vaccinated. Schools in Tanzania have not suffered to the same extent with lockdowns as we have in the U.K.Education was disrupted for a short while in 2020 but since then life seemed quite normal in school although there weren't the usual African hugs! The community was sorry to hear how different life had been in the U.K. and how teaching had gone on line.

There were plastic bucket hand washing stations in place.

It was sad to hear that two of the community had been lost due to covid- the ex head teacher, Mr Mrema and the ex school board chairman Mr Damson Ringo . RIP
