Today we announced our pupils of the month for January 2023.

RR - Kane Henderson-Tully
The pupil of the month in RR goes to Kane Henderson-Tully. This little boy has come back after Christmas with a real thirst to learn! He has been amazing me with his knowledge of the world and he has made a huge leap of progress in his Phonics. It has been clear to everyone that Kane now loves to learn and we are all so excited to see what else Kane can achieve. Kane, you have been a superstar and you should be very proud of yourself. There are not enough words to say how amazing you have been this month. Well done!
RW - Aurora Young
Aurora has a fabulous attitude towards her learning at school. She is a kind friend to others and as we have been talking about being considerate, Aurora has been demonstrating consideration towards others around school at every opportunity. She is always enthusiastic towards her play and learning and has been eager to share her successes with others. Aurora has grown in confidence in phonics, always tries her best, stays focussed and is now segmenting and blending words to write!
1L - Louciena Coleman
Congratulations Louciena for being 1L’s Pupil of the Month. I have seen such a difference in your word reading this month, you’re working so hard to improve and it delights me! Every day you are giving 100% in your phonics lessons and I am so pleased to see you using your phonic knowledge to help you with your writing. I could not be prouder of you and your achievements this month. Well done and keep up the hard work!
1M - Danielle Slack
1M's Pupil of the Month award for January goes to Danielle Slack. Danielle shines brightly with all of our gem powers. She has fantastic resilience and has been trying extra hard this month to complete tasks independently. Danielle has had the most positive attitude to learning and really is a pleasure to have in the classroom. She has been very kind to everyone and her behaviour is fantastic! This is a well-deserved award. Well done, Danielle! Keep it up!
2AD - JJ Denham
JJ has really blown us away this month with his learning behaviour, particularly developing his diamond power. He is becoming more and more independent at approaching tasks and completing his work and gives everything 100%. He is really passionate about learning outside of school and enjoys sharing facts and information about the things he has learnt about. Alongside this, he shows lots of emerald power during our Connected Curriculum lessons and retains all of our sticky knowledge. What a wonderful role model you are, JJ! Keep it up, we are really proud.
2B - Ruben-John Stewart
Ruben-John is our pupil of the month because he consistently acts as a positive role model to others in the class by showing his gem powers. Ruben has a fantastic attitude to learning and is always using his sapphire power to show me that he is ready to learn new things and he understands that his mistakes help him to learn. Ruben is a great friend within 2B and brings great ruby power to our classroom to share with myself and his peers. Well done Ruben and keep it up!
3W - Amelia Kirkbride
Amelia has tried her best when engaging in all of her maths and geography lessons this month no matter how challenging, she always gives it a go! Amelia has made a great start back to school life after the Christmas break, and I am very impressed with her positive attitude to learning and life in general. She always has her hand up and is the first to share ideas and offer help to other pupils in the class. She tries to include all children in outdoor games at playtime and is a very kind and helpful member of 3W.
3FC - Holly Symcox
Holly has been making lots of positive contributions to class and has been working so hard to concentrate and participate fully in her learning. As a result we have seen some fantastic writing from Holly this month - she is really developing her own writing style. Well done Holly - you are an asset to 3FC!
4G - Jenson Robson-Kelly
My Pupil of the Month this month is awarded to Jenson. Jenson is a kind, caring member of 4G who always looks out for his friends. He has a fantastic attitude to learning and will always give everything a go. Jenson puts 100% effort into his learning, and he is always focused on the tasks he is given. He will contribute in lessons and always listens well. Great job Jenson!

Jackson has been fantastic since the start of the year. He could be pupil of the month every month as he always participates and shares his thoughts and ideas. Jackson has a positive mindset and is willing to give anything a go. He shows great ruby power by supporting others with his excellent mathematical knowledge and understanding. Jackson also makes sure that his work is to the best standard and always puts in the extra work at home. Well done Jackson.
5CB - Niamh Clarey
Niamh is an absolute pleasure to teach. As well as having an outstanding attitude towards all aspects of school life, she is contributing much more during whole class discussions and is becoming more independent with her learning. Niamh is an excellent friend as she is kind, caring and thoughtful – her ruby power shines through in everything she does. Keep up the amazing work Niamh.
6O - Amelia Nicholson
Amelia has been a start student this month in every way! I have been so impressed by her attitude towards her learning, from putting her hand up to answer every single question, to completing pages and pages of independent work at home in every subject. What a delight it has been to teach Amelia this past month. Keep it up Amelia!
6T - Harriet Cummings
6T's pupil of the month is Harriet because she has shone with gem power. She shows great diamond power with her independence and she shows fantastic sapphire power in lessons as she is always focused on her learning.
